Hera Hyesang Park announces her second Deutsche Grammophon album, a collection of spiritual, meditative arias and songs that reflect the soprano’s determination to embrace life, let go of grief and approach every day with gratitude.
For a first impression, the soprano shares one of her operatic favourites – the Andante religioso “Ave Maria, gratia plena. Here, Verdi’s Ave Maria for Shakespeare’s heroine is mirrored by a version of the same prayer set to the well-known Méditation from Massenet’s opera Thaïs. The soprano Hera Hyesang Park recorded this vocal piece together with the Orchestra and Coro del Teatro.
